Our main objective is to draw attention to the importance for EVERYONE to have a regular eye check, whether they need a prescription for spectacles / contact lenses or not. It should be a regular part of routine healthcare and many people are unaware of, not only eye problems that can be detected which the patient may be unaware of, but also general health problems.

We have a number of booklets that can help to give you more information on eye care. THEY ARE FREE. Please call into reception to pick one up.

Our message is: " this is where you go if you have eyes"! it is not to see if you need spectacles. It is a health check.

The fact that it is still covered by the NHS for a large percentage of the population is because it is so important.
