About Us

The Practice was started by my father, in 1954, in the family home just round the corner from the present site.

Having qualified as an Optometrist, I joined him in 1979 when the site was developed to accommodate two Consulting Rooms, an office and a waiting area.

I took over the Practice in 1987 when my father retired.

The Practice was relocated, in April 2001, to it's present site with much improved facilities including two Consulting rooms, reception area, waiting area, on site parking, private forecourt for Patients with mobility problems and wheelchair access.

The Practice is based on the belief that our Patients' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat Patients and referrals.

We welcome new Patients and would like the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you a fully Professional service.

We carry out NHS sight tests for those who are eligable and accept all major credit / debit cards including American Express.
